These terms are an agreement between you and Pasban. They govern your use of the Pasban website and mobile apps. Please read them — by creating an account or using Pasban, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Pasban (پاسبان — “guardian”) is operated by Somezing (“Pasban”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What Pasban is — and is not

Pasban is a record-keeping and coordination tool for societies, towers and colonies. It lets management list properties and units, record members and tenancies, raise and track charges, and manage service requests and complaints.

Two things Pasban is not:

• Pasban is not a payment processor. We record that a charge exists and that it was paid. We do not take, hold, transfer or refund money, and we never ask for card or bank credentials. Money moves between you and your community outside Pasban.
• Pasban is not a party to your community's arrangements. The amounts you owe, your tenancy, your membership and the rules of your society are between you and your management, landlord or society — not us. We record what they enter.

We are also not a provider of the maintenance or repair services listed in Pasban. See section 7.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it. Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe it has been compromised. Do not share your account or let someone else use it.

Some accounts are created for you by your community's management. If you did not expect an account, contact your management or us.

4. Roles and what each can see

Pasban is role-based. What you can see and do depends on your role — platform administrator, property owner, manager, member, tenant or service provider. Your management assigns your role.

By using Pasban you accept that people in your community with the appropriate role can see records that concern you — for example, your management can see your units, your charges and the requests you raise, and a provider assigned to your request can see that request. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

5. Charges, payments and receipts

Charges shown in Pasban — rent, maintenance, installments, late charges, transfer fees — are raised by your community's management, not by us. Questions or disputes about an amount are between you and them.

Marking a charge as paid, and any receipt uploaded as proof, is a record entered by a person. It is evidence of a payment, not the payment itself, and it can be wrong. If a record does not match what you actually paid, raise it with your management.

Pasban itself is provided to communities under a separate commercial arrangement. Nothing in the app charges you, as an individual member or tenant, any fee payable to us.

6. Your content and documents

You keep ownership of what you upload — photos, receipts, documents, request descriptions and comments (“your content”). You grant us a licence to host, store, copy and display your content strictly as needed to operate Pasban for you and your community.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law. Do not upload anyone else's personal documents without a proper reason and the right to do so.

We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.

7. Service providers

Pasban lists service providers and lets requests be assigned to them. Providers are independent — they are not our employees or agents. We do not perform the work, do not supervise it, and do not guarantee its quality, price, timeliness or safety.

Any agreement for work is between you (or your management) and the provider. Listing or assignment in Pasban is not a recommendation or a warranty. Disputes about work are between you and the provider.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Pasban unlawfully, or to harass, threaten or defame anyone
• Upload malware, or anything obscene or unlawful
• Access records that are not yours to access, or try to bypass role restrictions
• Probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission
• Scrape, bulk-export or resell data from Pasban
• Interfere with the service or place unreasonable load on it
• Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your role or authority

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Pasban available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features.

We may change these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Pasban after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Pasban at any time and can ask us to delete your account — see Deleting your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if your community removes you, if your community's arrangement with us ends, or if we must do so by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pasban is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the records in Pasban are accurate or complete. They are entered by people in your community, and we are not the source of truth for your tenancy, your membership or what you owe.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of Pasban.

We are not liable for the acts or omissions of your management, your society, other users, or service providers listed in Pasban.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
